Live & Unsigned
Live and Unsigned is the largest UK music competition for original artists; bands, vocal groups and solo artists.
Over 30,000 acts from across the country have entered over the last three years…
Live and Unsigned prides itself on taking their live events to the most prestigious venues throughout the UK. Performing in these venues not only provides an exhilarating experience for the competitors and audience but also allows the competition, acts and music to be represented in the most professional and high level manner possible.
Desi Valentine performed in the National Grand Final of Live & Unsigned at the Portsmouth Guildhall.
The Portsmouth Guildhall, located in the heart of the city centre, is recognised as one of the South Coasts best live venues.
Originally opened in 1890, it was in 1926 that Portsmouth gained the status of a city and the town hall was renamed as the Guildhall. During the World War the venue was ruined by incendiary bombs and fires and was left a shell of its former self. In 1959 the Queen reopened the Guildhall, and with a capacity of 2,000, it has drawn in huge crowds ever since. It has seen some of the UK’s most talented artists perform on stage including Biffy Clyro, Newton Faulkner, Motorhead, McFly and Prodigy.
